John May — Founder
John founded ROOFWORX to run roofing jobs the way he’d want them run on his own house: honest scoping, real materials, and one accountable person from the first inspection to the final walkthrough. He holds Tennessee Contractor License BC-A/r #85166 and is a certified CertainTeed ShingleMaster, and he’s on the roof and in the field — not just behind a desk.
John also oversees ROOFWORX’s gutter, siding, and exterior restoration work, so the same standard of quality carries across every trade on a project, not just the shingles.
Our Installation Crews
Pictured above is one of ROOFWORX’s vetted installation crews, led on-site by a foreman with 30+ years of experience. Every crew we put on a roof — whether it’s a directly managed team or one of our vetted subcontractor partners — installs to the same written, ShingleMaster-spec scope of work, with the same standard for fastening, flashing, and cleanup. That written scope, not who happens to be on the ladder, is what separates a roof that lasts from one that doesn’t.
From roofing to siding, gutters, and exterior restoration, every crew — including our vetted subcontractor installation teams — works to ROOFWORX’s written specification under our direct oversight. John holds the scope and remains the single point of accountability from contract to final walkthrough, no matter which crew is on your roof.
